Nonza is one of the most beautiful villages in the north of the island. In 2016, it was voted the French’s favorite village.<\/p>\n

With its 75 inhabitants all year round, it is very popular in the summer for its houses and its long black pebble beach. Its color comes from the old asbestos factory located in the town of Canari.<\/p>\n

During your visit to Nonza, visit the Sainte-Julie church with its orange-pink hues built in the 16th century, as well as the Paoline tower. It is located at the top of the cliff, in the center of the village, where you can admire a panoramic view of the region and the Gulf of Saint-Florent. Access is in front of the church, at the back of the small square.<\/p>\n

Nonza, Albon, a Caribbean beach on Corsican soil<\/h3>\n

The newspaper Le Monde<\/a> highlighted this superb Nonza beach near Saint Florent in one of its travel and tourism articles in 2019. \u201cA beach with a lunar gray pebble shore. Like a Caribbean feel. More fig trees and fewer tourists. \u00bb<\/p>\n

Did you know<\/strong><\/em>: there is a shuffleboard game on Albo beach in Nonza. Either write sweet words on a black pebble beach using white pebbles, then climb to the top of the cliff to contemplate the beautiful message and take the most beautiful photos.<\/p>\n

You also and above all enjoy the heavenly panorama of Nonza beach. At its summit, the medieval village of Nonza which was ranked among the favorite villages of the French in 2016<\/a>. From the top, you will have a 360\u00b0 view of the bay of Saint-Florent.<\/p>\n

The landscape offers an astonishing contrast of colors reminiscent of the black beaches of volcanic origin on the island of Saint-Vincent in the heart of the Caribbean. Enjoy the intense blue of the water, the deep green of the surrounding vegetation and the lunar gray of the beach.<\/p>\n

If you want to find a bit of the Caribbean spirit in Corsica, it is entirely possible thanks to the vapors of rum \u2013 or other summer alcohols \u2013 escaping straight from La Sassa.
