Alpa Corse is an association of 3 guides who offer to help you discover, improve your skills, or simply have fun in this vast wild territory that is the most beautiful island in the world. For adrenaline enthusiasts and thrill-seekers, Alpa Corse offers several canyoning descents with breathtaking landscapes in the Bavella massif! Jumps, rappels, and natural slides are on the agenda — hold on tight! Looking for a fun, refreshing activity to do with the family? Alpa Corse offers aqua hiking, accessible and suitable for the daring and beginners alike, not far from the village of Chisà! What are the different canyoning routes offered?

– La Purcaraccia (Bavella): A natural masterpiece famous for its many natural slides carved into the granite and its two large 40-metre waterfalls.
– La Vacca (Bavella): Considered one of the most beautiful canyons on the island, it stands out for its many jumps and its emerald waters in the heart of the pink granite.
– The heights of Bastia: A sporty and wild route, offering a view of the sea, with abseils, slides and jumps of up to 14 metres (not compulsory).

What are the prices and what do they include?

– Purcaraccia: €80/person (€75 for groups of more than 5 people).
– Vacca: €70/person (€65 for groups of more than 5 people).
– Bastia: €60/person (€55 for groups of more than 5 people).
The price includes: Supervision by a high mountain guide, personal equipment (5 mm neoprene wetsuit, helmet, harness, descender, bag) and collective safety equipment.

How long do the activities last?

The total duration includes the approach, the descent and the return:
– Purcaraccia: About 5h10 (1h30 approach + 3h descent + 40 min return).
– Vacca: About 5h20 (1h approach + 3h descent + 1h20 return).
– Bastia: About 5h in total for the whole loop.

What should I bring for my outing?

For each outing, you must absolutely bring:
– A pair of trainers (which will go in the water).
– A swimsuit.
– Drinking water.
– Cereal bars or a small snack.
And potentially dry spare clothes

Are jumps mandatory?

No. For example, for the Bastia canyon, it is specified that even the big jumps (up to 14 meters) are not mandatory. The guides are there to offer you alternatives such as abseiling if you don’t want to jump.

What is the difficulty level?

– The Bastia canyon is described as a “sporty route”.
– The Purcaraccia is technical due to its large 40-meter abseils.
– The Vacca focuses on jumps and the beauty of the landscape. In all cases, you are supervised by a professional to guarantee your safety.
