Wellness in Haute-Corse, between maquis and Mediterranean
Haute-Corse offers an ideal setting for relaxation: the fragrant maquis, the proximity of the sea and a local agriculture focused on aromatic plants make it an appealing destination for those wishing to combine active holidays with moments of well-being. Between producers of essential oils and natural cosmetics, and the relaxation areas offered by some campsites along the coast, visitors have several ways to take care of themselves, from Cap Corse to the Eastern Coast.

Wellness Center in Corsica
A wellness retreat to discover on the Eastern Coast
Les Jardins de Bordéo
Located in San-Nicolao, in the Costa Verde, Les Jardins de Bordéo is a family farm practicing organic and biodynamic agriculture. On site, a shop invites visitors to discover their production of essential oils and certified organic hydrosols, as well as a range of natural cosmetics (face and body care, massage oils) made from maquis plants such as immortelle and calendula.
Well-being across the regions of Haute-Corse
It is in the Côte Orientale that the "wellness" offering is now the most extensive. In addition to Les Jardins de Bordéo, several campsites in the area offer their own relaxation space: the Camping Merendella in Moriani-Plage has a well-being area with spa, sauna and solarium, while the Camping Riva Bella in Ghisonaccia provides its holidaymakers with a thalassotherapy centre and massages. This selection is set to grow as we discover new providers in Bastia / Cap Corse, in Balagne and in Centre Corse.
The virtues of maquis plants in Corsican skincare
Corsican cosmetics and aromatherapy traditionally draw on the resources of the maquis: immortelle, renowned for its soothing and healing properties, myrtle and lentisk, with their toning virtues, and Laricio pine all feature in the composition of many essential oils and natural cosmetics produced locally. This tradition, upheld by producers such as Les Jardins de Bordéo, is complemented by a more conventional offering of spas and relaxation areas within certain coastal accommodations.
