Just half an hour from the port of Commerce and Bastia international airport, St Florent, A popular seaside resort invites you to stroll along the quays of its marina and in the streets of its old quarter: the church of Sainte-Anne, Piazza Posta, the old post office square. From the Citadel, you can see a view of the bay and the magnificent Agriates Desert.

You will discover ancient buildings such as the 12th century Cathedral or the 15th century Citadel which seems to crown the village, but you will also enjoy walking along the quays and enjoying the permanent activity of the marina, located at the heart of the village.

Saint-Florent, the most beautiful beaches on the island

With its beauty, St Florent, an ancient Roman city, has inspired poets and writers. Over time, it has become a favorite destination for tourists. Its configuration to the West allows it to also benefit from the Agriates and its exceptional fine sand beaches, surrounded by fragrant maquis. The beach road will take you to Roya Beach, one of the most beautiful in the region.

Coming from the Agriates desert, you can take the boat to St Florent to enjoy the two magnificent wild beaches classified among the most beautiful in Corsica: Saleccia beach and Lotu Beach, an expanse of fine sand decorated with pine forests. A customs trail also allows you to follow the entire coast from the Saint-Florent desert to Ostriconi beach, a distance of 35 km.

Other beaches in St Florent:

  • Roya beach: with a gentle slope, it is very popular with families. Indulge in all water activities.
  • Ospedale and Olzu beach: they offer a very nice view of the Agriates desert.
  • Between Saint-Florent and Lotu beach, spend a moment in one of the small coves to cool off, such as Anse Fornoli or Fiume Santu cove (1h30 walk from Saint-Florent).
